Barcelona are beyond happy with Inaki Pena performances this season and are offering the player a new contract reports Mundo Deportivo.

Pena replaced Ter Stegen in the Barca goal when the German goalie suffered a serious knee injury in September.

Barcelona signed Wojciech Szczęsny as a backup but the Polish goalkeeper hasn't played a single match due to Pena fine form.

The club are now pushing to hold on to Pena as a solid number 2 to Ter Stegen next season.

Pena contract expires in 2026 and just like Pedri with Gavi and Frenkie De Jong Barca are against allowing him to enter the last year of his contract without signing an extension.
