Real Madrid promising 18-year-old midfielder Erik Vazquez has joined Girona on loan from the club Juvenil A team.
Vazquez is highly regarded within Real Madrid La Fabrica academy but has struggled to secure regular playing time with Alvaro Arbeloa U19 side this season.
The loan move to Girona is expected to provide Vazquez with valuable first-team experience and opportunities to develop his skills.
However it remains to be seen whether the loan agreement includes a buy option which could potentially allow Girona to sign Vazquez permanently.
If a buy option is included Real Madrid are likely to negotiate a sell-on clause or the option to re-sign Vazquez in the future as they have done with other young players who have left the club on loan or permanent transfers.
